Green Screen App for iPhone: Put Yourself on Any Website, No Green Screen
The green-screen reaction format took over short video for a reason: a person standing in front of the thing they're talking about is just more watchable. FlowRec does it live, on the page itself, with no sheet of green fabric and no editing.
How it works
FlowRec uses Apple's on-device person segmentation to separate you from your background in real time, frame by frame. The camera sees your room; the recording sees only you. No upload, no processing wait, no key color to light evenly.
That cut-out is composited over a live website in FlowRec's browser, so you can scroll, tap and point while you talk. Every tap shows a sonar ring so viewers follow your finger.
Record a green-screen video in four taps
- Open FlowRec, switch to WEB CAM, and make sure Green Screen is on.
- Type a URL. Any site works: your product, a competitor's, a news article, a doc.
- Tap record. A 3-2-1 countdown plays, then you're on the page. Drag your cut-out to any of six positions, pinch to resize.
- Tap stop, keep the take, trim, save to Photos.
Want a script? Paste it into the teleprompter and FlowRec scrolls it while you record. It never appears in the video.
What it's good for
- Reactions and commentary on an article, a launch page, a thread.
- Product demos where you walk a customer through the real site.
- Tutorials on web apps: you point, they follow.
- Support answers that show the exact screen instead of describing it.
Green screen vs. the floating bubble
FlowRec has two camera modes. Web Cam is the green-screen one: you're cut out and standing on the page. Screen Cam records any app on your phone with your face in a floating bubble, and the bubble can blur or fill its background instead of cutting you out. Pick by what you're recording: websites get the green screen, everything else gets the bubble.
Questions
Do I need a physical green screen?
No. Segmentation runs on-device in real time. Any background works, though even lighting on your face helps the edge.
Does it work on video calls or other apps?
The live cut-out works on websites inside FlowRec. For other apps, Screen Cam puts your face in a floating bubble with an optional blurred or solid background.
What iPhone do I need?
iPhone or iPad on iOS 15 or later for green-screen web recording. Screen Cam needs iOS 18 or later. Newer phones give cleaner edges.
Is the green-screen mode free?
Yes, with a small watermark and a three-minute cap. Pro removes both.
